What we are working on very hard is to breed beautiful and healthy Nishikigoi. Our Goshiki has been bred and cherished by our farm in 70 years history.
Our Goshiki has attractive character in deep bule base color which turns as it grows and Beni (Red) in particular of Goshiki.

To reach extreme on Kohaku, we have been breeding Kohaku single-mindedly. This effort paid off in such way that our fish won grand champion at All Tokai region Koi show in two consecutive years. We keep on working very hard so that when people is talking about Kohaku, they name "HOSHIKIN KOHAKU" in the first place.

Our main is Showa Sanshiki, and we also breed Taisho Sanshoku and Kouhaku. We work hard all the time to deliver Koi that would become better and better in their beauty and attractiveness day after day, with nothing to say about their good health and big size. All of this - to let the Koi-lovers enjoy our Koi for a long time. We hope that our fish will some day sparkle brightly on an All-Japan Contest, so we do our best to breed Koi that give good blood to next generations and that will meet all the Koi-lovers' expectations. Secret Koi Farm

We are focusing on breeding Goshiki. We are trying our best to breed unique Koi with originality which remains fascinating with people who keep this Koi for a long time. Our Goshiki is bred by coupling Sakai Female with Hosokai Male originally and after studying one after another with pursuing quality of vivid and bright Beni which seems as if coming to surface. This makes our fish separate from others showing beautiful contrast of Beni and Sumi. In recent years, weare working on breeding Ginrin Goshiki as well and we manage to breed the good ones which live up to your expectation.

We are working very hard to breed mainly Gosanke in the hope our fish is so good in quality that these will get higher prize in all the size category from 12 Bu to 90 Bu at Koi show. We are willing to have new parent Koi in our line and this year 93cm Kohaku and 87cm Taisho sanke come into the range. Prospect for the Tosai this year is bright.

We breed primaliry Taisho Sanke as well as Kohaku, Showa, Kujaku, Yamabuki Ogon. What we are in mind when we breed our Koi is to breed the Koi which attracts with its vividness from the bottom of people's heart. Our aim is to won Grand champion at all Japan Koi Show whereas we hope to bring the dream to the customers.

Our motto is to keep evolving day by day with the tradition in our heart. With keep this in mind, Maruyama Fish farm pour our passion to breed better Nishikigoi mainly Kohaku with cherishing KAGURA bloodline of long history. With keeping the target higher and higher all the time, not to mentioned that we breed the Koi which satisfy with the hobbyists, we mainly breed Kohaku with attaching importance to great body shape. To achieve this goals, what we are in mind is to breed the Koi with Five tools (Quality, Body shape, pattern,atmosphere, impact) instead of Three tools (Quality, Body shape, Pattern) of what people says.

We mainly breed Kohaku from the bloodline of Niigata Sensuke. What we are trying and working is to breed the Koi in such way that it still remains young and fresh even though it fully grow up, at the same time late-bloomer which gets depth and tastefulness as the years go by. This year, the parent "HARUKA / Spring Flower"??"HIMAWARI / Sun flower" did the great job. Especially we managed to harvest five times as much baby fish from Himawari as usual years. We keep working hard in the hope that we can hear from the Hobbyist saying "after keeping Koi from many breeders, we realize that the Koi from Matsue stand out best". This year, we start harvesting from 10th of October, pulling out mainly 2 year fish.

We breed the fish with being focusing on Kohaku and what we are pursuing is the koi which has great balance of pattern, quality, and body shape. Parent koi are Kohaku in over 1 Meter in size for female, on the other hand, male to be coupled with is the fish which won Kokugyo prize at 39th All Japan Koi Show. Our Kohaku has unique but artistic pattern in particular. As for myself, I am convinced that I love nishikigoi better than anybody else. We are hoping that the my passion and love toward Nishikigoi reflect to the Koi we breed in good manner.

We breed Shiroutsuri in the hope that we can make Shiroutsuri as much attractive as Gosanke in every respect. The fascination of Shiroutsuri attributes to the fact that only the contrast in light and shade can make it possible with infinite expression although this koi has only two color in Back and White such as Black and White drawing. Our ultimate goal will be to reach to the extreme of Shiroutsuri and to be champions in all of the class from 12 cm Bu to 90 cm Bu beating Gosanke. We keep making every effort with the motto of "breeding to be able to create the needs"

We are working very hard to breed the Koi which is to be bigger than any other breeders as well as to be competitive at Koi show but most of all, to meet with the customers requirement. We mainly breed Gosanke. Taking Kohaku for example, although being based on the Sensuke bloodline, we breed the Koi in such way that our Koi has its own style evolving from typical of Sensuke bloodline. As for Sanke, we use Kohaku in good body shape for female parent and make coupling with Sanke for male parent. As for showa, after making improvements one another, it appears good results. Especially our expectation is very high as far as the 2 year showa this year is concerned.

We mainly breed Gosanke sticking to quality and body shape thoroughly aiming at making it thick, Long, full of Punch on our Nishikigoi. To avoid from being shortsighted by specializing in breeding one particular variety, with the help of our good teamwork, we are trying to breed many Koi in variety keeping good balance. At the same time, we regard quality, fascination as important factor instead of sticking to mostly the pattern.

We are working hard to put beautiful pattern on great body shape mainly Kohaku. Our policy is to use Female parent Koi in big size at the time of spawning, we try to make a point to use first coupling only so that same male and female are not to be used for spawning. Without being content with what we are, we are working hard day in day out with keeping ??we make every effort to breed better Nishikigoi while studying and pursuing in this respect every year.

We mainly breed Taisho Sanke, with attachingt importance to body shape and quality. Sanke bred by our farm is offspring from famous RYUGUJO bloodline, therefore, this will grow big and it gets more charm as it grows. We are working hard to breed the Koi being loved for a long time.
